Hiram H Lesar Law Building
The Lesar Building at SIU Carbondale is home to the Simmons Law School, providing modern classrooms, courtrooms, and collaborative spaces that support legal education, research, and professional training. It prepares students for public service and legal practice through experiential learning and advocacy. The building is named for Lesar, who helped launch the University’s law school in 1972 and served with distinction as its dean and a professor.
