Morris Library is the academic heart of SIU Carbondale, supporting teaching, research, and student success across all disciplines. It houses extensive print and digital collections, special collections and archives, study spaces, and research support services for students and faculty. The library is named in honor of Delyte W. Morris, president of Southern Illinois University from 1948 to 1970, whose visionary leadership transformed SIU into a major public research university.
